Our Values
Sisterhood
Our six chapters build close-knit, supportive, and welcoming communities within their own chapter that expands across the broader Panhellenic community through various programming and annual events including community service opportunities, big-little reveal, chapter meetings, socials, and alumni engagement.
Academics
The Panhellenic women's QPA is consistently above the All-Campus and All-Women’s average QPA, which shows how our community emphasizes the importance of scholarship and academics for the Greek and Carnegie Mellon experience. Members of the Panhellenic community represent majors across all seven of CMU’s colleges and schools, allowing for inter-chapter collaboration, mentorship, and support in academic endeavors.
Service & Philanthropy
Being in a sorority offers an abundance of opportunities for both service and philanthropy. Each chapter supports their own individual philanthropy, as well as participating in community-wide philanthropic efforts such as Carnegie Mellon's annual Greek Sing where the Greek community has raised over $300,000 in the past five years. To promote service, chapters organize community service events and promote other service opportunities to members. Members of Panhellenic are also some of the most involved and service-oriented students on campus.
Leadership
Not only are there countless opportunities for members to take on leadership roles within their own chapter and within the Panhellenic community, but many Panhellenic women are involved and serve as leaders in other on-campus organizations. Members also have the opportunity to attend national conferences or leadership training programs within their own chapters and with the Panhellenic community.
